Mueller’s career is marked by significant accomplishments. He has served as lead counsel on
appeal in the United States Court of Appeal for the Ninth Circuit and California Courts of Appeal,
including recent successes in obtaining partial reversal for a client in the Second District and a
new trial for a client in the Fourth District. He has also served as lead trial counsel in Federal
and State Courts in California, including recently obtaining favorable jury verdicts in the Central
District of California and the Los Angeles County Superior Court. These achievements highlight
his ability to win when a case cannot be resolved without court intervention.
Licensed in California, Mueller is admitted to practice in all State Courts of California, all
United States District Courts in the State of California, and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeal.
His legal reach extends beyond California as well, having appeared in actions in Texas, Florida,
Illinois, and New York. This nationwide experience underscores his adaptability and
comprehensive understanding of the legal landscape.
Mueller’s legal journey began at Southwestern Law School, where he graduated in the top 20%
of his class. His academic tenure was distinguished by his participation in the Moot Court
Honors Program and service as a lead articles editor for the Southwestern Journal of
International Law. Prior to receiving his J.D., Mueller gained valuable experience working in the
Los Angeles County and Maricopa County Superior Courts.
Demonstrating his commitment to legal scholarship and excellence, Mueller has contributed to
the field through publication and is a Master of the American Inns of Court where he has been a
presenter on legal ethics. His experience and accomplishments are a testament to his dedication
