Associate Attorney – Workers Compensation

We are seeking a Workers’ Compensation Associate Attorney who will handle cases related to workplace injuries and disputes over workers’ compensation claims. The qualified candidate must have familiarity with all aspects of Workers’ Compensation procedures such as:  PQME Panels, AME & PQME exams, drafting petitions, advocacy letters, MPN Search, doctors’ appointments, giving client’s status updates, hearings, MSC, Status Conferences, expedited hearings, depositions, and cross examinations.

  • Full-Time

Key Responsibilities:

  • Represent clients in workers' compensation claims, from initial filing through to hearings and appeals.
  • Advise clients on their rights and options under California workers' compensation laws.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Negotiate settlements with insurance companies and opposing counsel.
  • Attend hearings before the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board (WCAB) and other administrative bodies.
  • Keep clients informed about case progress and legal developments.
  • Collaborate with medical professionals, expert witnesses, and other relevant parties.

Job Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the California State Bar.
  • Experience in workers’ compensation law, either through internships, clerkships, or previous positions.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
